Welcome Letter

Dear Corporate Partner,

On behalf of the entire tournament staff, thank you for your support of the 2019 Presidents Cup.

The Presidents Cup will be held December 9-15 2019, when it returns to the prestigious The Royal Melbourne Golf Club.

The return to Melbourne will mark the third time in the biennial event’s history that the Presidents Cup has been held at the renowned Sandbelt course, following on from 1998 and 2011. No other city outside the Unites States has hosted the Presidents Cup more than once.

The Presidents Cup is a team, match-play event featuring 24 of the world’s top golfers – 12 from the United States and 12 from around the world, excluding Europe.

The competition on the international team’s home soil promises to deliver the most exciting opportunity for the International and U.S team to break the tie that remains from two past playings at this illustrious golf course.

First-time captains Ernie Els and Tiger Woods will lead the International and U.S. Teams, respectively, as the two most experienced captains in the history of the Presidents Cup competition.

The Presidents Cup is much more than just a golf tournament. Now in its third decade, the event is a global convergence of thrilling competition, charity, sportsmanship and international goodwill. This is a unique team competition where players compete for the pride of representing their teammates and their country.

We hope that you find this a useful tool during your hospitality planning process for the 2019 Presidents Cup. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your designated Tournament Account Manager.

Sincerely,

Matthew P. Kamienski
Vice President and Executive Director
